He practiced medicine for thirty-five years—first in San Francisco, and then in Crowley, Louisiana. Dr. Attwood co-authored a regular column with Dr. Benjamin Spock in the nationally respected publication,\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eNew Century Nutrition\u003c\/i\u003e, and worked as a consultant with Dr. Spock to revise the nutrition sections of the classic,\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eDr. Spock's Baby and Child Care.\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"twoColHybLtHdr\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eHe was selected as a faculty member of the American Academy of Nutrition and a guest lecturer at Cornell University. In June of 1996, he was appointed to the Board of Advisers of EarthSave International.
